If you desire to be a food vendor at any of the Art Squared Arts Markets, please be advised that the City of San Marcos has a permitting process that you must adhere to.  Each food vendor is responsible for following the City’s guidelines and protocol for vending food in a public place. Information may be found at the City’s website. You may call the City’s Environmental Health Division at (512) 393-8440, or Shana at (512) 393-8478 for more information.

Currently, each food vendor needs a Food Handler’s Permit. The City’s fee structure is $55/event for one event; $108/seasonal (good for 180 days).

Non-profit organizations are not subject to City fees, but must still have a representative who holds a Food Handler’s Permit.

If you fall under the Texas Cottage Food Law, you must follow the State’s guidelines as far as labelling and packaging, but no permits are required by the City.

Food vendor booth fees are $40/market.
